Slides Again!

I've restarted my task of slide scanning and came across these from 1986.They were taken during a pleasure flight at East Mids(EGNX) and thought they might be of interest. It's apity that I didn't clearly catch the aircraft reg because it seems that there may have been two aircraft in use but I can't recall that being that case.Take a look at the tail numbers on the last two pictures. One of them clearly has the last two characters painted over. One reg is just readable and I think it is good old G-AMPY.Possibly the other may be G-AMRA.Does anyone know if both of those DC3's were painted in the colours of Northwest?
Unfortunately I didn't photograph the reg of the Vanguard. :) EricT

The shot below was over the western edge of the field looking east or southeast. What a collection on the ground.

Blink'in marvellous Eric. Of course, you can understand my interest

TksVM for posting them ;)

Oh.. while I'm here, what do you use to scan your slides? One of PEP's crew at Brooklands was only saying today that he has hundreds of slides at home that he'd like to transfer to a digital medium but wasn't sure how to go about it. He was at BEA in the days when airport security was little and many of the engineers (him included) used to take cameras to work all the time and snap away with impunity! It'd be nice to get him transferring his slides to digital format purely for selfish reasons

Hi Dave.Thought you'd find one you liked! As for scanning,I use an Epson Perfection V300 which I bought from Amazon for about £75.It is a slide/neg and document scanner and although my printer also scans documents I bought this one on the basis of online reviews. There are phsically smaller ones available but on a price/functionality basis I plumped for this one and have no regrets.
Garry,I thought if anyone would know about this Dak it would be you.I am still puzzled about the erased numerals on the fin because these were consecutive slides and must have been taken on the same occasion. The Dak seems to be in exactly the same position on both shots.May be someone appeared unoticed with a paint brush!.EricT *-) :)

That is odd Eric

Same Vanguard in front, same weather, same Prop blade position, same elevator position.even the position is the same...re the relative position of the aerials to each other...........weird :OB:

If you look closely, even the cloud formations are virtually identical. They must have been taken virtually one after the other.

They were taken consecutively,That's why it is so strange.I never noticed this when I had the slides processed 24 years ago, only when I scanned them yesterday! *-) EricT
