1-11 stalls

Post by johnno »

Firstly, thanks to DM for a real beaut aircraft. I have installed it in FSX, flies great, but..... the starboard engine dies after about 5 mins into a flight. Tried resetting all switches, checked & rechecked fuel, hydrs, electrics etc but it keeps happening. After 40 odd yrs in the a/c industry I do know a bit but this has me baffled. Any clues please?

Make sure you have the Engine Top Temp switches turned on. These can only be accessed from the VC and are the two white switches immediately right of the HP Cocks.

Hello Johno :hello:

Welcome aboard :)

Yep :agree: top temp...........That'll be it

Without the switches on, if you run full power too long you cook the engines and they won't re start as they have been destroyed :)

Hi Johno :hello:

If you don't like flying from the VC or navigating to the top temp switches, an alternative is to keep the temps in the yellow on takeoff rather than gun it at full throttle. The old girl still has enough pep to get you up, up and away ;) I fall into the 'can't be @rsed to go to the VC' group and never had an engine burn :cpu:
