Would you like our airlines also in IVAO?

Well,I checked most of the VA s that are based in UK, and none of them are using classical services :D

Sometimes,I couldn't stop thinking...Why don't we give IVAO a historical service? B)smk
I try to fly atleast one route everyday, serving as British Airways, and I sometimes get respect as I still serve in classical airplanes (The ATC rarely sees 70s plane, and gets amazed when I tell "Speedbird ***** on parking position * ,Aircraft BAC 1-11" and tells my plane choice is very interesting" :D )... But,there is BAVirtual, but why not Classic British Flight Services?

After these, I decided to try our luck in the online system... But before I send application to IVAO VA database, I would ask your ideas/opinions/suggestions.

-Would it be good if we become serving in also IVAO together with FSA? Or would it be really unnecessary and should we keep on serving as other airlines in multiplayer system?
-If yes,do you grant me send application?
-When we get accepted, would you join to IVAO also and share the fun and experience together?

Sometimes,I hesitate that this can be in need of some works (like paintjobs for CBFS,registration via main website, and several little updates)...

Yeah,what do you think?

Just a poll-kinda questions.

Hi Gokalp :hello:

To be brutally honest, I know as much about IVAO as I do about heart surgery and believe me.. that's as close to zero as it can be  I'm guessing it's an organisation similar to Vatsim which allows you to fly online with 'live' ATC and while I have nothing against this area of flightsim, it's an area I've never been interested in. I can't say that will always be the case.. never say never :)

What this boils down to is that it's difficult for me to comment one way or the other as I don't know what the implications of any 'club membership' would be :dunno:

Specific paints shouldn't be that much of a problem as all of our aircraft have 'correct' registrations and a great deal have 'correct' paints available for those registrations. However, if the suggestion is that CBFS becomes a seperate VA for the sake of IVAO inclusion and as such, has it's own registrations and corporate paint.. I don't see us going down that route as it's contrary to what we do at FSA. Again.. it would be unrealistic to say 'never' but I couldn't see me being involved in such an enterprise in the near or distant future. Comments welcome from all :)

Take it this way...The VAs in IVAO system also uses flight tracking system...INCLUDING FSA

During my times in TR division,I served for THYVA for a while...It is registered and wide VA in IVAO system, and also serves in FSA.So,I do not and never ask for moving from FSA to IVAO only...if you meant that

And,well for newcomers to our VA, playing in multiplayer would be optional. However, I strongly believe that many of us would be glad to play in multiplayer and do flights more professionally and still for CBFS totally (with callsigns).
Don't count me as I am advertising the IVAO...I am not interested in wasting time for earning nothing but making them earnt. I just suggest something we can earn respect more...This can also bring us more pilots to join us(likely) as we appear to be unique based on serving era.

All comments welcome :)

The question as to if we should have a CBFS identity rather than the real airlines has been raised before

It is a non starter as we are a site supporting real world history so it does not fit in with our remit.

This is why our members are here........ in a nutshell :)

Flying with CBFS/FSAirlines doesn't stop you flying online with either IVAO or Vatsim ...................or offline if you want to. if that is your preference.

From past experience, I would say that If you become an IVAO or Vatsim affiliated VA, then the VA would have to make that either a mandatory stipulation for flying, or at least the preferred option, taking away the freedom for those who want to fly offline.

Although I enjoy flying with Vatsim ( and I'm sure the IVAO experience is much the same), I also enjoy flying offline when I want to, and my vote would have to go for keeping things as they are.

Thanks for that Pete ;) Reading your comments, I'm also inclined to leave well alone.

VATSIM requires that you have at least 10 pilots flying on VATSIM prior to becoming an affiliate, I don't know about IVAO, however I tend to avoid IVAO like the plague because for all the politics problems VATSIM has and has had, they're nothing compared to IVAO (and I was around when the VATSIM/IVAO split happened, so I know the who, what, where, and why that started it all and none of it's changed).
