Yes indeed.. perhaps the title should have read Hercs to cover Nimrod SAR duties till replacement arrives. Nice to know stricken vessels will have some cover and you can throw an awful lot of liferafts out of a Herc!

Dont give them any ideas they might start rolling depth charges out the back door like the old convoy escorts used to do it off the stern of the ship.

They could even pick them up like the USAF used to do..........don't know if they still do...as in James Bond
