No beaches, no museums, no city buses...just lots of flying this week.

Routing takes us from Dallas to El Paso Texas to Phoenix Arizona to Burbank California (close to Hollywood) to Las Vegas Nevada to Albuquerque New Mexico and back home to Dallas. Pushback from Dallas is 6:15am with us arriving back at the gate at 10:25pm. The pics (virtually winglet free, sorry Joe

) probably don't need descriptions. The lake seen in the pics is Lake Mead near Las Vegas Nevada (Hoover Dam can be seen in the lower half of the pic), and the canyon pics are of the Grand Canyon in northern Arizona...an amazing sight! Well, give your loved one a hug and your seatbelt a tug it's time to go flying!

Lovely shots Brian

That lady in the last shot looks suspiciously like Carrie Fisher (and that's no bad thing at all)
Missed the dam first time round

Fortunately, I popped back to read your descriptive again

Great pictures Brian. I am always amazed at how different that part of the US looks from the East Coast. I remember driving in Nevada and once out of Las Vegas, I thought I was on another planet because the scenery is so different from here. Magnificent desolation.

I've been wondering the same thing Garry.....either Brian's still on induction...or, he's just not taking his new job seriously...or, it's one of the best jobs on the planet

Loved the comments guys. Yes, I do have a real job 5 days out of the week at Southwest. The other 2 days are spent traveling, and recharging my batteries for another week at work. In a nutshell I support most aspects of the reservation systems. It's the most stressful job I've ever had but it's also the most enjoyable, too. Southwest is a wonderful company with incredibly supportive management and awesome customer-service oriented employees!

As for
impressing the flight attendants I've managed to have lunch with one of them (and not one of the hairy-legged ones, Leif.

) but that's as far as I've gotten...but I'll keep trying.

I wanna shoot a Tommy-gun! I wanna shoot a Tommy-gun!
How much would I have to pay to shoot a Tommy-gun and a Sten? Excluding flights, hotels etc...
