Hi Forum,
in all modesty - may I suggest something for your virtual trip to mainland Europe?
Fly Tampa is due to release an updated version of their spectacular Schwechat...

I'll invite anyone landing here for a virtual beer...
Cheers,
Nick

I gathered some material a while ago to make a 1960s Vienna airport. I'll probably get around to it just after DM has converted his Comet into a Nimr*d with full VC.
This looks very nice though, although I'd imagine most things that DaveB is flying will look slightly out of place in an airport of such modern vintage

?

That is the only drawback Toby.. a Lancastrian pulling into there doesn't look right somehow though you can get away with it in a Trident/VC10/One-Eleven
Btw mate.. Brian Franklin is making a 'set' of Nimrods (with bells and whistles) as we speak so get those plans out again!

Given all that I currently have to do, I fear its unlikely to happen any time soon. However, there's some nice footage in the first 40 seconds of this clip and from 3 to 4 mins:

and the first couple of minutes of this one:

So you can imagine what it might look like!

Hmmm...
If you have WoAI, then LOWW will be one of today's places where one can still find quite some classic traffic -
and in terms of noise the 1-11 makes a great companion to all the eastern planes...
Many thanks for those lovely clips!
All the best,
Nick
