Nimrod MR2 WIP

Post by DaveB »

Hi Guy's..

There are days when being a beta tester is like having teeth removed without anaesthetic and others when you feel privileged and very happy with your lot. Brian Franklin's Nimrod MR2 falls very pleasantly into the latter ;)

The first 5 are on ops with Dave Garwoods HMS Fearless (there will be - and is - HMS Intrepid too) and the second 5 were taken after leaving Ark Royal IV off Anglesey. For those wondering if the later blue/grey livery will be available, the answer is yes. My current preference is for the older Hemp scheme as this fits in better with the AI naval ships but the grey/blue is no less attractive. It's difficult to describe just how good this model looks.. even in beta/WIP. I doubt the screenies will do it justice. As you'll have guessed, the model is native FSX/SP2.

Hope you like them ;) I may have to post more as I just love it!

Absolutely stunning Dave!! The lines and texturing are superb. Nice screenies that really catch the light well.
Looks like I'll have to do a completely new gauge set to do her justice! The gauges for the old FS9 version were my 'first work' (and it shows!!)
Regards

Jim

You can read my mind Brian, I PM's Dave last night to ask that very question  I do like the early Nimrod MR1 colours  That also means there is an opertunity for Bedfords MR1 to be painted up too which will make a nice addition to Trevs scenery when it comes along

The very same Brian. I know Trev is stuck in Blighty at the moment without net access, but the last information I had was that he was able to get a fair bit of info for Thurleigh so it would be done. that would give us XX914, Canopus and this one :welldone:
