I really want this one, but that price is just too much. The manuals are free for download for anyone else interested. Just register at the site and have a look. It looks bloody good to me.

I was a beta tester (getting the correct indications on the FE panel mainly) on the FS9 version and I have to say I the model was excellent.

I'm not an ardent flt simmer but I thought the Co-pilot & FE call outs during TO and appr and landing were a nice touich.

It is not a jump in and fly model, there is about 30 mins of preflight to do before you push back and if your taxy time is shorter than planned you may have to hold before TO to burn off fuel to get the correct C of G.

30mins.. strewth! The blurb says it's the 'easiest to fly' followed by 'the most complete'.. also, there's a 'quick fly' setup. Can't be doing with a 30min startup routine I'm afraid. I have a day job too

Well you could get away with less once you knew what you were doing and took some of the flight control checks as read and used the auto FE.

I emphasise my experience with the FS9 version. I cannot comment on the FSX version

While I applaud models with this degree of detail, my desire to overcome their complexity is usually overcome by a terminal loss of interest I'd go for something like this with a true 'wash and go' mode then at some point, dabble in the more realistic version, perhaps, but sadly.. I CBA to 'cram' pages of manual from the outset. A loss for both me and the developer I guess

Dave I agree!. Sometimes I just want to fly so I pick fairly simple aircraft. On other occasions I like a little complexity and don't mind doing some manual reading to learn the ins and outs. That said, a 30 minute routine just to taxi for takeoff would be far more than enough.

Kudos and thanks to those developers here that include an interactive checklist. Those make complex aircraft so much easier to learn how to fly.

Well i forked out nearly £60 for this!!! Yes £60, thats with £4 instant download and VAT ontop! So beware on how much this costs! But its a amazing!!! And no its not 30 mins to start it! In default config (through the systems panels) its already to throttle forward and fly!

Bottom line is its expensive but its Concorde and worthy of the cost.

Gobsmacked! I sincerely hope it fulfills your expectations and then some Chris
