FS9 Weather

Have REX Weather though do not think this is the problem, when selecting clouds i.e. Cumulus 4/8ths then some loverly Cirrus say 3/8ths I have wonderful clouds but..........after a few minutes when airborne all clouds disappear and I am flying in blue sky!! I will then get the occassional cloud but have to be very quick on looking as it soon disappears behind me.

Does any-one have an idea how I can keep the clouds during a flight as it is quite frustrating losing them. BTW, this has only just started to happen for no apparent reason.

Regards
Nigel.

Nigel- A real shot in the dark because I only have the freeware REX. Is the automatic update somehow still invoked. I wondered because on a trip from Cherbourg to Bournemouth earlier today I saw nary a cloud over the southern UK which struck me as rather unusual. I was using MS real wold weather with updates.

Hi Nigel, think i have found the problem and it might be helpful to you, in the World and Weather there is a box below labelled Dynamic Weather then a slider for Rate of Change I have set this to None and the clouds remain, could this be the reason I wonder, *-) a few more days trying different settings with it will hopefully yield the answer but my flight from Glasgow to Mnachester was all clouds at None setting whereas higher settings seem to get rid of the clouds.

Nigel.

Thats the ticket nigel...that rate of change slider is an accelerator and changes the WX...setting to none is the correct option mate...

Simple Nige

If you have 15 min update and you fly away from a weather station then you ge the weather defaulting to nil :(

No use to anyone really
