Photographic scenery for FS X

Having seen some impressive screen shots of the Gen X scenery in other posts, I’m tempted to have a dabble as an alternative to my FS9/ultimate terrain/ground environment set up.
So please excuse the dumb questions as i have shut FSX out of my mind for a few years....
• Which is the favoured photographic scenery?
• How low can you fly and still have good crisp ground views (my favoured aircraft tend to be very slow and of the dH variety)
• Can you have the AI cars and trucks running?
• Does it come with "real trees" or is this another add-on?
• Are the standard airports any good (i.e. equal to The Gary Summons stuff)?
thanks!

Hi Colin,
In answer to most of your questions... depends on your setup.
GenX (In my opinion) is by far and away the best UK photo scenery. I have the AI road traffic set to 3% and can fly at a few 100 feet in something like the Hunter at 500 kts and get things crisp, but again, this depends on the model your flying and if there are any addon sceneries in the area too. So are frame friendly some aren't so its very much horses for courses.
The FSX default airports aren't much better than in FS9, the only notable diferences I can think of are the ground equipment moving about and the moving jetways (when a suitable aircraft parks up at a jetway.)
On the plus side there are many very good freeware airports, as well as the new UK2000 stuff.
As a general rule, photo sceneries kill the autogen stuff so there are no autogen trees by default after installing GenX, however trees which are included in specific sceneries, e.g. at airports etc will show.
What spec is you PC?

Thansk....
my current set up is Athalon 64 dual core 4200 2G RAM and Radeon X1550 Graphics. Not the fastest, but it runs FSX well at resonable stttings and eats FS9 with everthing maxed out

I could not fly without GenX now, proper VFR flying at last!
About 70% of all English and Welsh airfields have also been covered, as well as UK2000 vols 1 and 2 matching in seamlessly. If you can fly FSX at default settings, you should be OK, anything over 500kts can cause probelms with blurring, but hey, at that speed you should not be looking at the view!!
Here is the freeware list as it stands, several addtions a month are normal....
