I've flown a Stearman. Light ailerons, heavy rudder.

I'm sure you're right about the rudder but unfortunately there's no force feedback on my pedals! Anyway, this is a strangely insipid review at Flightsim.com so I'll add my 2p's worth if I may. The GAS Stearman looks very nice, especially the US Army model - lovely colours and a nice soft sheen. She's easy to fly but tricky to fly really well and (unlike many models) sideslips quite nicely without gaining too much speed, just as well really. She is nicely aerobatic, downhill with a following wind in the case of the PT-17. The sounds appear to be authentic, and if they're not they certainly do the job. The view from the VC is great, and the cockpit itself looks like a good representation of a typical Stearman 'pit based on photos I've seen and one memorable ride.
Criticisms? Not many. There area a few flats & angles on the model where there really should be subtle curves (you'll see it most obviously on the tail looking from from the VC, on the engine cowling and the wing cross-section) but the pay-off is frame rates as good or better than some of the stock aircraft.
This is definitely one of my better recent purchases. Nice to look at, great fun to fly, really good value, and GAS' customer service is top notch too. I know it's not British, but I figured that as so many Allied pilots got their wings in the Stearman it deserves an honourable mention.
