Have you seen this Horror!

Just got FS2004 back on and loaded the new 3 volume VFR Photoscenery V2 which is supplied on the GenX DVD's.
All went in without a hitch now that I understand that the new version HAS got the VFR Terrain built in....(see my other thread here on VS)
However whilst pootling around near the Malvern Hills I came across this horror...

If you have UK2000 Part 6 installed, it is very near to Croft Farm (Defford)....if not then the co-ordinates on the screenshot shows the location. It is not the well known 'Croft Farm and Ledbury modification' that is well documented for Part 6 users.
No this 'slab' is present on the VFR Photoscenery alone and as their forums seem not to have this one on there as yet...I have emailed the Horizon Tech support and received the automated reply by return but whilst I await (hopefully) a fairly quick reply from them, I just wondered in the meantime if anyone else has seen this and if so did you find a solution to it at all?
It is not the end of the world by any means but nevertheless....I do like to have these things working as they should....not being clever like some others, flatten commands and other such scenery things are well beyond me....

Hi BB
Not really had an opportunity to look in any detail at the v2 FS9 world but with a new PSU, CPU and tomorrow a new mobo.. I will hopefully be in a position to check this out for you. Can you remember if it was present with v1?? I can check that now. Let me note the position and I'll have a look
EDIT.. It's the same in v1 with VFR Terrain mate..

I don't think it is present in V1 Dave...I would have remembered it for certain. The shot of yours is Croft Farm which is in UK2000 part 6 and there is a simple fix for that one.
Go to your FS9 root folder...find the UK2000 folder tree and when you locate UK2000 Part 6 click on the folder and in there will be a few more folders, one of these will be called 'Croft Farm' and inside there is a small read me with the simple fix included. The same tree will feature another folder called 'Ledbury'...again a simple fix is included.
The problem I have is quite close to Croft Farm but is apparent without any UK2000 parts installed, proving that the culprit must be the new V2 of Photographic scenery....

Brian..
OK mate. I looked around at the exact position you were in and only saw Croft Farm on the big plateau. I can confirm there are no other plateaus in or near to that locale in v1 with VFRT

Tks for the HU on the fix too

I never had it in V1 either...it is with the new V2 3 volume set fron the GenX discs that I am seeing this.....
Hopefully there might be someone who has V2 installed that can confirm whether it is me (my installation) or the software.
Edit:
Hang on.....Ben I remember you mentioning that you have the V2 installed...could you take a look at the area near to Croft Farm and see if you have the flat mountain that I have parked the Jetranger on....?

Hi Brian
I'll check it out when I get home tonight and let you know... whats the ICAO?

This is a small strip with no ICAO Ben....If you have UK2000 Part 6 installed you will have Croft Farm in the airfield list...
Failing that, the nearest ICAO would be EGBJ (Gloucestershire). If you depart from there on 09 and head 012 for about 12 miles then you will get to the co-ordinates on my screenshots.
If you cannot see the 237' high 'slab' then it could be my system and I will have to remove and re-install the scenery from the 3 discs again but will not do that yet.....in case it IS the scenery itself...
Thanks Ben

Yep, looks like a disused RAF field about a mile to the north of it? If so, its a plateau in mine too

Thank goodness for that Ben......It means that it is a Horizon fault then....phew...thought I was going to have to remove and re-install again.
Well, as soon as Horizon get back to me then I will post their comments on this thread....thanks for taking the time to check, it has been a great comfort to know that I have not done anything daft this end.
