Another one to keep an eye on but I don't know when it will be available is Ultimate Alaska from the makers of Ultimate Terrain. See here: http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_p ... ?TID=31658 for details. There are new screen shots of Kodiak on the same forum.

The key feature, and what differentiates it from other versions of UTX is the placement of buildings and vegitation. The people responsible have worked out a method of accurate placement that take a matter of hours rather than days or weeks.

For more details on the building and veg placement engine see: http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_p ... 30107&PN=3

Chris

There are lots of nice scenery add-ons out there at the moment.
Trouble is I've been sent a p45 in the post after 20 years in IT. So the purchase of add-ons for flightsim are on hold :-(.
However it does give me the time to build the Stirling, 2 x Lancasters (ones a Dambuster), Whitley, Halifax and, would you believe Manchester!!! :-) I've had stashed in the loft.
Sad days but somewhat happy ones until the money runs out.

Yes I am in the same position re money, except I am long-term sick. No overtime or allowances. There are some really good freeware sceneries out there so I will stick to them. Least at present I still have a job. Good luck with getting a new one.
