Perhaps this heatwave warning is related to Ian's computer heatsink and fans kicking out industrial amounts of warm air

It's only my little laptop - it won't melt the icecaps
There's probably less AI at Kai Tak than at Heathrow Extreme with World of AI installed. So the frame rates are roughly comparable with that scenery.
Most of it is dedicated AI such as Aardvark 747-200s (same as used in WoAI). So it's only the few VC10s, Tridents and 707s (which are full-strength latte versions) which cause serious fps problems and I can filter those out with the traffic slider to gain performance. I've set up the display quality sliders so that I get around 20 fps in cockpit view when landing but that drops to about 10-12 for external view in replay  But I'm happy to leave movies to the professionals - like Nigel!
Oh - and low visibility helps, too
Ian
Thanks for the comments, by the way
