Nvidia driver settings

Now that I have my newly upgraded PC actually performing as I would wish - finally - I would like to try to get the graphics upto a higher standard. Trouble is, I'm just not sure which of the many settings to adjust and by how much. My card is a 9800GT with 512Mb memory running XP (and Vista occasionally). I still get the same slightly grainy 32bit textures on aircraft unless I convert them to 16bit, which sort of defeats the object. My question is what are the ideal settings for Nvidia drivers as far as FS9 (and possibly FSX) are concerned. I realise that they depend on the individual PCs actual hardware components but there must be some guidline settings for flightsim.

Hi Andy, I am no guru when it comes to settings but Peter McLeland once gave me some advice in a previous thread about a year ago.
These are my settings for my NVidia 9800GE, The quality and framerates at these settings are very good so yours should turn out to be much better.
With Texture Filtering Quality there are a number of options, if you use High Performance it takes a lot out of the graphic card at the expense of visual quality so use
Quality setting for a much better visual display.
Hope this helps
Regards
Nigel.

Hi Tony,
I already use Nhancer. Seems to be the only way I can ever get the driver AA settings to work without setting FS9 to handle it within the game.
The link to Simforums about FSX is very interesting. Thanks for that. I will follow their advice for my own FSX installation.

Good luck...
