The picture clearly shows the edges of the Ply/Balsa/Ply sandwich that the fuselage is built of...look at the edges showing along the break.

Well at least the pilot was OK which is the important thing, wonder if the a/c is repairable?

No, Peter - it's in America. Duct Tape (Duck Tape?) is the only way to go!

That reminds me of some stuff we had in BEA...Metalic and silver coloured. It was called High Speed Tape...Amazing stuff

That's probably how they did the Merchantman conversions using the ATL kits

Cut the old section out with a tin opener..place in new section, bit of tape lick of paint and 'tis done :roll:

There isn't anything that you can't mend with Duck tape, blue string and Araldite...
