The picture clearly shows the edges of the Ply/Balsa/Ply sandwich that the fuselage is built of...look at the edges showing along the break.

Well at least the pilot was OK which is the important thing, wonder if the a/c is repairable?

No, Peter - it's in America. Duct Tape (Duck Tape?) is the only way to go! :lol: :lol:

That reminds me of some stuff we had in BEA...Metalic and silver coloured. It was called High Speed Tape...Amazing stuff :lol:

Hi Jim

That's probably how they did the Merchantman conversions using the ATL kits :cpu:

Cut the old section out with a tin opener..place in new section, bit of tape lick of paint and 'tis done :roll:

There isn't anything that you can't mend with Duck tape, blue string and Araldite...
