I second that, nice write up. I managed to get a ride in one over the Hoover Dam when I was in Vegas last year, after we'd seen that we practised aeros over the desert for the rest of the flight, which is much harder when you've still got your camera in your left hand!

Chris, I have emailed the link to the Warbirds email address so hopefully Sean will get to see the article. The team @ Warbirds certainly earn their keep, not just offering the pleasure flights but also their renovation work on the two FW190s and the MiG 15 that I saw in the hangar. Perhaps one day I can return and do it again.... :flying:

I found it a very enjoyable read....thank you very much for posting. I've always thought about going over to Florida for a ride in one of their T-6s, as the SNJ-6/T-6F is one of the models that I havent been in. I always liked the T-6 since a little lad (dont know why really) and it was always my ambition to have a flight in one....just one at some stage in my life.

Now, I've been in ten different T-6s (all in the UK) and have two more hopefully to try soon. Rarest was the SNJ-7C (one of only 6 built and owned by David Gilmour of Pink Floyd) and favourite is G-CTKL Harvard MK.IIB which have the most hours in and my first example flown way back in July 1987.

That article brought back a lot of good memories. Thank you.
