Have you ever wondered why some wheel wells and interior parts on WWII AC were pale green or yellow or in the case of the Corsair pale pink?

Are you refferring to the anti corrisve pre treatments like zinc chromate etc??

Sorry about that, link fixed and yes it is an interesting article about zinc chromate and why it changed colour at different periods and for different aircraft builders.

LOL...I must admit I did a double take when I read this under one of the photos on that page....

I could have sworn I had seen photos of zinc chromate primer used on pre-war British aircraft but I guess I must be wrong, after all, the internet is ALWAYS right, isn't it? :roll:
