Interesting, some of that footage I have seen before as part of other videos, especially the BA "Hangar video", but there's fair bit of material in there I hadn't seen before. Well found!

Nice find John
With something so futuristic as Concorde it's sometimes hard to image it, like anything else, was created by men with pencils, paper, drills and lathes etc......and then crawling arround putting it all together :prayer: and in this case in two languages
A couple of interesting details showing up there like the oft forgotten ventral entrance........their escape if things went wrong
and the brake chute on the prototypes even showing the tailcone snapping back in pos when the chute was jettisoned.
I love these period films when they were made as a record of things the whole country was proud of

Hi Matey..
Odd you mention the ventral staircase. 002 at Yeovilton has this open (it's either how you get on or go off.. can't remember which) and you use it without thinking.. like it's there on all of them

Only been to Yeovilton once and 002 was all closed up :-(
I think it was only the first two that had that.
Never seen G-AXDN so I've not been able to check :think:
Concorde sureley must be the greatest aviation achievement ever, to have created something so ground breaking in technology without the computers so common today whilst fighting the politics of the day and two countries, two languages and two measurement systems.
Who else remembers the great debate on weather it should be spelt with an 'e' on the end or not?..in those days it was Concord to us

I'm not sure about 'DN' either mate. Been on it a few times and have more than my fair share of phots of her but without looking, I really can't remember. It doesn't 'stand out' in my knackered memory as 002 does so perhaps it doesn't have one
I'm sure someone will give us an answer in the fullness of time ;-)
