You lot know me too well!
I really DID intend to disengage the autopilot at 1000 feet. But it was nearly time to go to work and I didn't have time to go around (which looked quite likely) so I flicked the lever to 'land' instead
BTW That car park used to be our crew car park for many years and on a windy day it could take half an hour to hit the road home. It was too much fun watching them crabbing in over the top and kicking off the drift before touchdown!

Not often we see you over here Ian!
Speak-a-da-which...... I can't recall you posting a Trident landing at Kai Tak? You'll just need to change employer for a wee while

You mean in the virtual UK, Jim? I'm usually at DM's retro Manchester but I treated myself to the UK2000 Heathrow to celebrate my newer, powerfuller laptop
No Tridents at Kai Tak? You've got a short memory, young man! We frequently fly them there - here's the proof!
