X2WX, Weston-Super-Mare scenery
Posted: 10 Apr 2009, 14:27
This Saturday its 5 weeks till the 2009 flightsim convention being held at "The Helicopter Museum" at Weston-Super-Mare.
There is no scenery for flightsim that covers this area, so I have created some, using the EZ Scenery libraries, the UKVFR autogen library & a couple of other bits 'n' pieces such as the Ted Andrews scenery libraries.
As this is my first substantial scenery it is far from perfect & is clearly unfinished round the edges....I stopped when I thought my frame rates were suffering, but the museum is done. Clearly the scenery is NOT photo realistic, does NOT feature static aircraft that you will see at the museum & the buildings are all the wrong shape, (bit like me
), but it gives an impression of the museum, along with the adjoining runway....now opened for FS flights....helicpoters, small/meduim jets only, (its just over 4000ft).
I hope to upload it (with a read me that could well rival War & Peace for length
) over this weekend so if anyone wants to have a poke about & make fun my scenery feel free
But for now here are some screenshots featuring the Sikorsky S-55 (alphasim).
There is a link in my signature below to the convention website, should you feel the need to read
Oh, nearly forgot...this is for FS9 only :brick:
