Hi Jon..
Not quite sure what to say here :think: Always nice to see UK-based projects on the go so best of luck with them ;-) A suggestion if I may be so bold.. try and show WIP shots as good as you possibly can and this includes turning AA on. It doesn't matter how good something really is, if it's shown with 'jaggies'.. you've already lost the edge ;-)

Hi Jon, Just tried the Barracuda in FSX, sorry but it does'nt work for me, It still has the jet engine, the prop is not transparent and blocks scenery behind it, the visual tailhook does not work until positive hydraulic pressure is entered in the aircraft.cfg, it says in the readme source files by Kazunori Ito, have you got the source file or his posted model file ?
I would love to have the Barracuda fixed for the WIP HMS Victorious and the Gannet for Ark Royal with of course the Sea Balliol as a trainer.
This is just my thinking as I have done a bit of work on Kazunori Ito's origional release ie it has a Griffon piston engine, working tail hook and will cat launch and make arrested landings without tipping on it's nose.
Constructive critisism I hope
This is what makes it unsuitable For FSX unless you realy want this model, Mr Ito made it for Fs9 where the graphics work ok there
On the Deck of Ark Royal blue disk is the sea below I think, it is not a Ark problem
Sangley Airbase, trees and buildings cut off and fence dissapears notice a bit of the roof just right of the cut off tree

We used his posted Model files (the one he released). The prop's a known problem that we couldn't work out how to fix (we tried the normal ways) plus I thought I'd fixed that Hydraulic pressure problem
Ah well, We'll try harder for the next lot of portovers we're planning.
By the way, what version of FSX are you running? They worked fine in our versions of SP1.

Trainfan5...Just in case you don't know this...Your pictures should be set to the actual size that you are going to post them.
What I am saying here is that if you have a picture with absolutely no jaggies at it's 100% size at 1600x1200 resolution and you then view it at 800x600 then the picture will appear with jaggies that are introduced to make the picture smaller. If you reduce the actual 100% size to 800x600 and view it at 100% then it will not have any jaggies and you can POST it at that size and it will still be without jaggies. However, if you post it to some sites like SimOuthouse where the site software REDUCES the size then that reduction will MAKE jaggies.
Here you can post pictures at 800 width and they will not be resized and in fact the software on this site never REDUCES the resolution of an oversize picture...It might cut off the right hand side of it if it is too wide but it will not reduce its resolution and make jaggies in the process. I stopped posting pictures at SimOuthouse years ago as soon as they introduced that resolution reducing software.

These are unoffical ones. therefore, all we've done is change the panel and done a couple of cfg mods. If he'd replyied to my e-mails, there's a lot more we could have done with them (like replacement more detailed textures). We've done the bare minamum to make them work in FSX.
I think it says that in the readme (if not, my bad. Big time)
EDIT: I've accidently put out the wrong files, ie the ones that don't say unoffical all over them. Won't make that mistake on avsim and flightsim.com
Me=Idiot of epic proporions
