when the Air Malawi one used to visit Gatwick

Brilliant shots yet again... i love these. Interesting the VL shot with the Reg on the pointy end aft of the engines, never seen that before.

I think the VC10 only looks big when viewed from anywhere aft of the wing. IMO anywhere forward of that position it looks stumpy, the Std at least. Possibly also the dark blue of BOAC gives you the impression of size.
