Upgrading from 800Mhz to 1066Mhz RAM

Just thought I'd share my recent experiences after upgrading my RAM from 4Gb at 800Mhz to 4Gb at 1066Mhz. In general I noticed no improvement in framerates. I do though see quite a significant improvement in the speed of texture rendering - this has had a beneficial affect on photo scenery such as VFR Gen-X and Tileproxy. All in all I think that the investment was worth it. I now have 4Gb of Geil RAM going cheap!
The new RAM is the OCZ 1600Mhz stuff in 2 x 2Gb sticks and on sale at Overclockers at a reduced rate (at least it was). I think though that barring a new processor and a newer graphics card (not going to happen this year!) that pretty much brings to an end any further signficant hardware improvements I can make to my system.
Regards,
Chris
