Those are some nice shots Ian - Personally I find the "Golden Eagle" Eastern paint really beautiful

I believe the 727 was the last aircraft to sport it before they started the "Hockey Stick"

And the scenery looks excellent and quite in keeping

Thank you gents. I was just doing some flights around New York when the sun started setting and I saw a screenshot opportunity.

The 1964 Eastern texture is part of the Vistaliners 727-100 download and, as Leif says, it's rather beautiful and iconic.

The Manhattan skyline, believe it or not, is default FS2004! KLGA is a nice freeware at Avsim, but I haven't shown you much of that because it hasn't had my retro treatment yet - and there are horrid modern 'airplanes' taxying about. Yeeeuch Image The sunset is by RE Pro.

What makes the skyline look so dramatic is by using telephoto camera techniques. Setting the spot view to 250/300 ft and then zooming in to a tight crop foreshortens the background and brings it up close to the subject, just like with a zoom lens.
