Retro Manchester Questions

I've got a spare slot at my retro Manchester for another British aircraft. Excuse my ignorance because I wasn't paying attention at the time ... :-(
What year did Dan-Air retire their Comets?
Did Cyprus or Northeast fly Tridents into EGCC and if so would it have been between 1975 and 1985?
Cheers
Ian

Ian,
From 75 to 85 I was operating Trident 3s in and out of Manchester from Heathrow (Shuttle)...I don't recall ever seeing any other Tridents there

What about a small Bizjet?

Hi Ian,
I recall allsorts of historic beauties from around 1981 to 1986.
Familiar biz Jet/props based at EGCC, included Air Kilroe B200's and Northern Exec Aviation Learjet. I recall the reg as G-LEAR.
As for the Tridents, I never ever saw anything other than BA machines from 1981 onwards at Ringway.

I can't imagine any other Tridents in Manchester on services anyway apart from perhaps Channel pre 1972
Did BKS/NE opertate from there with any type...Med charters perhaps???
I don't recall seeing mention of Cyprus going there at that time

Northeast Tridents were exclusively on NCL-LHR schedules, and later on the London-Bilbao route, however, along with Viscounts, they may have appeared on charters. There's a bit of footage on the Avion Manchester programme of a BKS Viscount arriving there.
cheers

Just replying to Vegas' suggestion. ;-)
If all my ABN were not tucked away in the garage roof, I could look to see what HS125 were visiting EGCC around that time.
