Any thoughts? No panel shots, but if it's anything as good as their Yak40, it might be worth checking out. I do, however, await comments from people much wiser than me in these matters :-)

I'll probably pick it up when it's released, but one can't help but think that a twin-seater would have been a better choice to model. At least from my own (purely selfish) point of view, I always find the two seaters for more enjoyable in FS.

two seaters have the advantage in that, You can fly a mission (Not a Mission, free flight)
fly low thru canyons down a stream or river , thru tress for awhile , run the replay
from the backseat view and go for a ride.

I will save the replay for later... and sometimes it's pretty fun as you've forgotten the path taken,
best when inverted over the tress and thru the caynons to gramas house I go,,,, .. (went, had goone.whateverrr
It's cuuraazzzzy ! :o

It seems almost impossible to reproduce the correct single seat Vampire nose shape in all the existing FS models . :dunno:

I ABSOLUTELY WILL GET IT!

I'm hoping Ivan includes several things however:

- A version with external tanks
- A paint kit

PLEASE!

Man, this is going to be a great airplane...I can see doing a BUNCH of repaints!

Yes I agree...That nose shape is crucial to it looking correct:-

Ben, That is me in the Vampire V, flying exercise 35 (Formation Flying) at 202 A.F.S. Valley on 23rd July 1952. I'm formating on a Meteor VII :flying:

Note we did not yet have "Bone Domes"...Still the leather helmet (which I still have).

GREAT Peter!! Do you know the incredible story of 73 Squadron Vampires , when arrived to Italy (my Country) in 1949 to display the planes before Italian Air force acquired the type? (by the way I have a Vampire canopy in my garage. Who knows who need it in UK?)

Kikko...I think they may be the Vampire aerobatic team that I saw performing on "Empire Air Day" at Manston in about 1948. My father took me to that airshow and I remember being extremely impressed and excited by the Vampire team...Little did I know that about five years later I would be flying in a Venom team myself! :flying:
