After seeing another thread on this forum about a new plane that turned out to be FSX only I thought I would have another go at bush flying and looked about to see what was available, eventually settling on this. This is such a great plane and at £17.00 it is what I would consider to be quite good value. Only played about with the amphibious one so far but will no doubt be using the Wheeled Version soon enough. I've always liked this plane and thought it looked quite nice in real life so I thought I'd give the flightsim version a try.
Defiantly worth the money, the aircraft is incredibly detailed, has a good sound set and is easy on FPS, which, to someone running FS on a laptop with an inbuilt graphics card, is very important.!
Took it out for a "test flight" before and took some screenies:

Hi James
I bought the 'Multipack' for FS9 a while back and it's an impressive selection. Don't like the default sound for it much.. sounds worse than my lawnmower but I guess that's how a 206 sounds knowing the accuracy of Carenado ;-)

I know what you mean, I actually hate takeoffs due to the fact I have to use full Throttle, tis an awfully raspy sound! And Loud!!

It does rev quite high, 2850rpm. Most don't go higher then 2600.
I like to cruise at 22 squared, gives an economical fuel burn and lessens the din from the engine

I've got the full FSX version and I love it. I've decked it out with all RealityXp gear

I don't know what a a 206 sounds like, but here's a couple of clips of a 210 departing bush strips. Proper bush t/o technique too for those that are interested in that sort of thing...........
T/O #1
T/O #2
1.> Do as many checks as you can before starting the engine
2.> Never stop after you start the engine
3.> Do the rest of the checks on the move
4.> Full power, Yoke back in your guts
5.> Hold it until the nose rises and then fly it off into ground effect, level, pick up speed and then climb away
6.> Don't raise the flaps until there's some good air between you and the ground
Enjoy
Rich

Cool - well in which case here are some arrival tips..................
1.> Always buzz the strip to scare away any animals
2.> Don't let the aircraft stop after landing unless you can make it to a hard apron
3.> Vacating the runway chop the engine and free-wheel away
4.> If tou're unlucky then you have to get out and push the aircraft where you want it.
5.> If you're lucky some other poor s@ds will come and push you out of the way
Demonstration
PS - thats not me at the end, although I was flying ILP
Cheers
Rich

I had heard about that first rule but assumed that it was to check on the condition of the Runway. Didn't know about the 3rd one though, will give it a go.
Once again, very interesting video!
