Classic British Flight Sim

Anyone having problems with Martin Wright's DXTBMP ? I used it for a long time in XP then it suddenly stopped working it could not find the BMP it stores in My Documents, tried it in compatability mode for Win 95 and now it seems to be ok, is this another of Ms updates stopping it in XP

Have you tried re-downloading and re-installing? I also have all the WinXP updates and my DXTBMP still works.

Just a thought if you have been using it a long time it may not be an up to date version

As I mentioned mine works and is...... at the end of the title

Gary, Many thanks, I had the lates files downloaded yesterday but still got that stupid complaint it could not open

C\Documents and settings\Rich\temp\DXT.bmp and just refused to open, did the uninstall/install bit umpteen times, uninstalled last night and reinstalled this morning.

Remembered I installed Threatfire about the time it stopped working before so dissabled Threatfire and it worked, re enabled Threatfire and it still works fine, you tell me, What has C\Documents and settings got to do with it the textures are all in the aircraft folder in Fs.

Still working ok, this version has a DDS converter built in so a bonus

Glad you found out what's causing it.....like you say makes no sense but do computers ever make sense??
