What type of camera, film or digital, and lenses do you use to obtain such excellent shots?
Did you use atripod for those photos?

Those shots will make those of us who braved todays storms quite sick as it didn't show.. much to the disgust and disappointment of those who attended :@ Never mind.. they've promised 10 years of flying left so I guess we'll see her ONCE during that time

Hi Hobby
I use the following equipment-
Nikon D200 digital body (10.2 MPixels)
Nikon 70-200mm F2.8 AFS ED Lens
Nikon 2X Teleconverter
ISO 100 or 200
I shoot in RAW mode (not JPEG), and convert the images using Rawshooter Premium 2006 and Photoshop Elements 6.
I don't use a tripod/monopod, as I find it more of a hindrance than a help. I spend a lot of time with the camera pointed upwards and this would result in lifting the tripod/monopod as well. The lens does have image stabilisation which is a great help.
Regards
Kevin

Sorry to hear that she didn't show today :-(
I live no more than 15 miles from Duxford, as the crow flies and we had one hell of a thunderstorm between about 4 and 5 pm this eveneing.
She is down for the Autumn Show on Oct 5, so hopefully you can see her then.
Regards
Kevin

Hi Kevin..
Yep.. that's the plan ;-) The wx was far from ideal here in Berkshire this morning and had it not been for the fact 558 was due to show, I, like many, probably wouldn't have bothered making the effort. As the old saying goes.. you win some, you lose some. One of the lads there today had been to see her 4 times this year (including Duxford) and hadn't actually seen her once :o That works out to be a lot of money :o
Nice shots btw mate and thanks for posting them ;-)

Great shots Kevin. And great to see her displaying again.
Anybody know if she made Southport today?
