I'll start this by saying, part of me wants to defend this and explain what might have happened, but part of me wants to 'say it like it is', so I'll steer as middle of the road as possible.
I was supposed to check it over before release, four days after release and I still dont have a model to check

, and I'm jiggered if I'm going to buy a copy to see if anything I suggested previously regarding sounds or start stop sequences was integrated or anything really.
I've mixed feelings that it was my last Alphasim helo FDE really and kind of afraid to be associated, somethings are clearly not 'tickity boo' and its annoying that input is often ignored.
If I were bold and care free I'd suggest that AS is moving on and trying to extract its self from the 'old guard' and become a leaner and cleaner operation, sadly, eradicating all that experiance can have its pitfalls, some aspects are very good and advancing very well, other aspects are.......perhaps lagging behind ?.
I believe there is a fix, a new version seems to have been uploaded that puts back the 5th FSx model so the rotors may have been fixed as well, theres no official comment and the hint of the update is tacked on the end of another thread ?, same thing happened to the Ka-50, an update that wasnt officially given due header space IMHO, I'd like to think they were perhaps too busy fixing other products in the pipeline ( tongue in cheek ).
What should have been a nice neat little package has been nibbled at again

Regarding the forums, I've noticed a distinct lack of feedback and an increase in issues recently, I'm afraid to say that through bitter experiance, customers will have there say, it doesnt matter if its your own site or elsewhere, they will voice there views good and bad, my philosphy is/was to try and keep it in house ( your own forum ) and keep the dialogue open, that does mean posts that are close to the knuckle sometimes have to be read and delt with, usually works out all right in the end.
However I fear that some might view those threads as damning and many are edited or even deleted to show a clean shaven face to other readers, I understand how that might work but it can be detrimental in that others see it as a draconian authority, I've always thought it far better to have the issues exposed and resolved publically, I think you gather more 'face' and respect by being seen to be able to deal with hard issues with levity and consitancy, than appearing to sweep them away and smile nicely, how many cracks does that painted dolls face hide ?. Alphasim used to allow pretty free and open dialogue, recently theres been a clamp down, though I do agree on some of the posts that have been 'tidied up'.
However its their site and their wares and only the future will tell if its the right way to proceed, and thats enough OT for one day I think

.
