These new images were put up on the Skysim galley (sorry gallery

) this week, with the comment 'will finish soon'!
I think it would look better with a different aircraft though! The Eagle has landed...almost!
For those of a less 'salty' nature, how about this one, for FSX.....
No release dates as yet for either project.

So that's where she's got to!
And by the looks of it for FS9 as well
Fantastic news ;-)
Kind regards
John
Ps Is that Victor just FSX?

Well then.. a warship is a warship and RN variants are still few and far between
I'd have prefered post Suez but what the heck ;-) Whips look a bit wide.. or is that thick

Beautiful redition

except for those aerials :o
Often the cas with folks who make up model kits beautifully then spoil them with oversize aerials, rigging and railings :-(

True matey. They're not far off but far enough I fear. Were it not for the fact I was a Radio Operator in the RN and these things figured heavily in my day to day job.. I'd probably not have noticed but there you go. I suppose it doesn't help that on the last four ships I served on, I was I/C Aerials too
Should Rick ever get around to finishing Glamorgan.. here's how the wire aerial arrangement should be. I found this piece of well worn paper among a pile of stuff shoved in a plastic bag a few months ago while looking for something else. They're my working notes off Norfolk!!

Nice diagram Mr B ;-)
OT: reminds me of the time the Yeoman was bored and decided to test the range of a 42 set with an 8ft whip (a voice backpack type, normal range of a few miles) He had us string copper wire across the whole of Montgomery square in Aldershot, effectively turning it into a huge ground plane..with the set in the middle with a transformer and genny attached we fired it up....and got a faint response from the infantry barracks at Dover castle :o

Yep.. surprising what can be done when you put your mind to it ;-) I'd better not continue as I fear a 'thread hijack' will ensue
As a footnote.. I always used that drawing over the Admiralty plans we had as it was more accurate! :o

Will the Eagle be available in full FSX Acceleration style (i..e with cats and traps)? It's just I'd like somewhere to park my Wyvern!

The shots are about 2 years old as I never got round (for various reasons) to publish it with who I was with at the time. Rest assured any suggestions to improve the models will be taken on board  (sorry) but with FSX it allows me to add far much more to a single BGL and a whole lot more detail. As stated all 3 profiles of her career have been modelled.
Yeah sorry about the plane but it enabled me to take screen shots from the drink
There is also the Kiev class built just to give it something to launch against
