More like chuck the bloody key away after banging him up.

hw was willing to risk the lives of all those on board and anyone underneath.

A candidate for life I think......if he had caused a crash and killed them that would be life so the fact that he was 'lucky' should be treated the same as the intent was the same.

My local radio station, BBC Tees is headlining this crime every 30 minutes, just in case other idiots had not heard about it and would like to try it themselves.

'Tis true unfortunately. Just last month we had an incident where a CAP aircraft was repeatedly hit with a green laser while on a night currency flight. Thankfully (for us) the guy was stupid enough to do it several times and the crew was able to figure out where the person was and got the police in and the guy arrested.

In the US, these actions are federal felonies and people don't realize it. It's pretty ironic when they find out that they might go to federal prison for several years.

Idiot!....he could have caused a major incident.

What lack of brain cells would you need to think that pointing a laser at an aircraft might be some kind of good idea!?!

Ten years would be too little, sadly I can see it being a common occurance.
