RAF Valley Photo call

I attended the 2008 Valley Aviation Society Photo call yesterday, what a fantastic day it was, the weather was nice, a good turnout from the Royal Air Force, and the Belgian AF also put on a great show with a departing formation flight of their C130 And F16. The highlight of the day for me was the Formation flight of the 19 squadron Hawk With the BBMF Spitfire, followed by the Rolls Royce Spitfire display

Here's a selection of pictures I took yesterday

The Hawk doesn't look real.....like an FS what if that has had no dirt layer applied

Must be a really fresh paintjob

The Hawk was painted a few weeks ago, It wont be long until it's underside is covered in Hyd Oil and general crud...

Personally, I really like the New paint job, but I'm biased, I love camo paints anyway...

Glad you like the pics :)

Once it's grubbied up a bit.......hey yeah Dave it does look foreign

I suppose after all these years one gets used to how Hawks look and it is sort of out of place until it's gotten used to. :)

Looks like a great day Dyl and a nice assortment of types

The four jets shots is a nice one...too often the temptation is to zoom in but in cases like this distance give a far better impression of fying, speed and manourvering.....you can be see where they've come from, what they're doing and where they're going
