Sounded pretty good until I noticed that one of the contributors is Lorraine Kelly, :o Air-to-air refuelly with a Tristar? No doubt there will be nothing of any interest to Classic Brit fans then? |-)September 2008 will see the launch of a full colour, 160 page, hardback book, entitled *“Northern Exposure : The Royal Air Force at work in Scotland ”* by Berry Vissers and Mark McEwan, and published by Squadron Prints Ltd. With foreword by Air Cdre C A Bairsto, Air Officer Scotland, and introduction by GMTV presenter Ms Lorraine Kelly, the book is a pictorial review of all the RAF’s flying assets based in Scotland in the 21st Century. Among the 200 colour photographs are some exclusive air-to-air images of the Tornado F3 and Tornado GR4. To complement the photography, serving RAF personnel have also penned their own accounts of life on the RAF’s frontline, including a fascinating insight into a “Bear” intercept by an F3 pilot, and a GR4 pilot’s first taste of air-to-air refuelling with an RAF Tristar.
Best wishes
