Saw this posted on Prune...Runs for 30 minutes with French commentary:-

Worth watching in High Quality...One sequence has a box doing a barrel roll with the leader inverted (new to me) :flying:
Here is the one over New York City from the same PPrune poster:-

Many thanks for those links, Peter.
I've seen the 'Reds', at least once every season since I was 7 or 8 years old (back in the days of the Gnat). Each time, I get a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye. These videos are no exception.
What stunning performances. I have them saved as '.flv' files for later reference.
Thanks again.
Regards
Kevin

Many thanks for those links Peter.
Airmanship of the highest standard, and nobody in the world can come near them.

That Quebec footage is some of the best that I've seen.
Kudos to Red 10 for completing the entire narration in French as well.
Does anyone know why all of the shouting and (almost) sing-song like RT from the pilots at times? Initially I thought it was because they are breathing through the G forces but they do it at times when they are straight and level and neither accelerating nor decelerating. I've heard a few other display teams communicate like this during their displays and I've always been curious about it. I have to say (to be perfectly frank) it annoys the hell out of me and spoils what is otherwise a stunning display, there simply isn't any need for it to be piped over the PA. At most of the shows that I've been to in the UK it's had the average Joe Bloggs punter in fits of giggles at times and it really detracts from the spectacle.

I must see if I can fly an inverted barrel roll...I've never seen it done before...With just the leader inverted it removes the impossibility of the reversal of the aileron effect for formating wingmen under negative G. However, it must be exceptionally difficult to fly it smoothly and safely as leader, keeping the negative G figure down to a safe number for himself
