Classic British Flight Sim

Photographed this civilian Hercules at East Fortune a few years ago. Does anyone know what aircraft it comes from? The prop has four blades. Bristol Freighter?

Could be Solent, Viking or Hermes as they had four bladed :think:

Most Freighter and I think the Hermes had a large cooling fan.

That could be left off there but no point in that.


Is it definately civil...could be Valetta, Varsity or Hastings.....even some Halifax had four bladed......The Noratlas was another four blade Hercules user.

The type of Hercules would narrow it right down :think:

Searching the net it seems to be a Hercules 100......doubt then if it's civil

That variant was fitted to the later Halifax, Seaford and possibly the Hastings although one report says 100 the others say the Hastings had 101's

Cheers for that Garry. I'm not sure where I got the civil bit from - thought that it was on an info board at East Fortune. Halifax/Hastings it probably is then.
