g2d.dll error

Hi Chaps..
I've done a number of flights today in FS9.1 and was just about to hit BOD on the last flight (EHAM-EGLL) when I got a CTD.. the reported error being caused by g2d.dll. Now.. flightsim will load.. last about 2 or 3 seconds then CTD giving the same g2d.dll error. Doesn't matter where I start a flight.
Anyone got any reasonable suggestions as to the cause of this abomination?? Having had a look online, I've seen nothing helpful att

Hi Chris
I'd actually read that one online and already discounted it as so much twaddle (expert that I am.... NOT)
Tks anyway for the reminder as it was on my list of 'things to try'. Had the problem been one from the word go.. I may have been more likely to try it but this install has been running fine on a new pc for a fortnight and I reckon it would have spit out before now had the problem been video caching. Unfortunately (or fortunately whichever sim you fly).. g2d.dll is an FS9 dll so FSX wasn't troubled

:brick: :doho: |-)
I cheated anyway and dragged the dll off another pc and thus far.. it's not ctd'd. We'll see how far the next flight goes

Hello Mate..
Yup.. I read that's a possible cause though it shouldn't be on this pc. I have UK2000 parts 1 to 4 installed.. UK2000 Xtreme Edinburgh .. Aerosoft London LHR2008 and that's about it. Not bothered to load anything else on thus far
I was a little surprised it totally knackered FS9 mind you. It wouldn't run for more than a couple of seconds no matter where I started from

Furtunately.. I have another 3 installs of FS so I pulled the file off my XP3200 and it appears to have done the trick ;-) The flight was interrupted twice by Kaspersky informing me that the trial had 11 days to go :@ Wonder if this had anything to do with it?? In the event.. I pulled the trial version off and loaded the full one I bought off Overclockers. I was trying to wait until the trial ran out before installing the full version but I didn't want the constant AV reminders
Funny.. for the first week of the trial, it used to show each time I woke the pc up and on the second week.. it didn't remind me at all. From 13days to go.. it's been a total swine and in my face including spitting FS out with the b100dy reminder :@ Ah well.. its gone so lets hope the snag has too
