Will any members be going to Newark Air Museum this week-end for the Cockpit Fest?

http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/specialevents.htm

Unforunately things aren't working out for me this year, away in Scotland when Duxford had their air show and for the forthcoming Waddington Air Display with hopefully the Vulcan taking part I find out that I am away during that week-end!!!! :@

To cap it all I am working Friday and Saturday night for Cockpit Fest week-end but have declared that weather permitting (no rain) I will definately be there, bleary eyed!!

Now, I just need a little advice, missed Duxford last year and the year before due to......yes you've guessed...work!! :brick: but this year I am determined to get down to Duxford for one of the following:

A:) Flying Legends
or
B:) Duxford 90th Anniversary Air Show

Now I just cannot decide which of the two, :dunno: cannot make both so any-one who is well seasoned at airshows may well be able to advise which of the above would be the best for variety (aircraft), I have already been to see Flying Legends well over two years ago.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards
Nigel.

Hi Nigel :)

It really boils down to what you want to see mate. Flying Legends is unique and has only aircraft (generally speaking) built up to the end of WWII. The other show is the main one of the year and will contain a mix and match of all types and ages.

Legends may be pleasant this year as a lot of people will be at RIAT the same weekend.

I'll be going - first chance in 60 odd years to see a formation of Gloster's finest biplane... :)
