Classic British Flight Sim

OK folks....I have tried a lot of things to get my FSX running just right.....

Run into a bit of a brick wall at the moment and am getting very confused.... :brick:

I have a 1 gig monster ATI card 3870 X 2 and an Asus Mobo P5Ke - WiFi edition
With a dual 2 core E6750 and 4 gig of Ram

The really strange thing is when i first start up FSX i get serious stuttering....?

I set my FPS to 20 and things smooth out and everything runs on Ultra High...(all maxed) with no stutters.....!

If i set the FPS any higher the stutters return with a vengence....?

I cannot for the life of me figure whats going on....

FS9 runs ok with FPS of 90 - 100 and no stutters at all....and i am not going back because FSX is now my "sim" of choice...!

Some may say stay with 20 FPS but I KNOWmy card and rig is capable of much more...?

Anyone got any theories on this issue...?

Stutters return if i change to another A/C then smooth out after a while...I get no blurries...

The wierd thing is that if i set my FPS to unlimited i get FPS between 9 and 50-60 all the time...?

ummm.. has it always been like this Tony, or just since you've been tweeking? :think:

Ben.....i had quite poor FPS on my old X1950Pro card but i am just a bit frustrated with my new card.....?

All settings maxed in FSX but can only go to 20 FPS stable after the stutter problem......Just converted back to XP also....
