Noted in an Austalasian Defence magazine. RNZAF base Whenuapai will close by 2012. The RNZAF will then only have two baeses. All flying activites will consolodate on OHakea (north Island) and all heavy maintainence on Woodbourne (south Island) Not sure if Whenuapai will become a second airport for Auckland or be rezoned for housing as the article did not say

Hi

@ Kathy, I think the airport will be rezoned because it is to small for today´s requirements.

@ Leif, Yes this sign was also a pain in my a.... :brick:
As you eventually know, I use library objects from other authors,
so I haven´t any influence about the work of them.
I decided to use this hangar/terminal, because it fits very well in my needs
for this airport.
In conclusion, we have to ignore this "fault" or we have to drink as much beer
that we can´t read it anymore CHEERS

Best Regards

Wolfgang

Wolfgang's explanation may well be true, but I prefer to think that (like policemen's helmets, traffic cones, and roadworks lamps) it was probably "souvenired" from somewhere!

Of course, I never did that sort of thing...

Nice bit of scenery though.

Hi,

I imagine it's an odd TEAL logo. :)
