Remember when the Champagne bottle did not break on the first swing? And then later many passengers came down with Norovirus? Looks like misfortune has again visited the Queen Victoria.

Does make you wonder if ships called "Victoria" are cursed - I've just been reading a book on the sinking of the "Princess Victoria" between Larne and Stranraer in January 1953, and that ferry was a replacement for a pre-war ship that was sunk in war service. Add to that a paddle steamer called the "Princess Victoria" went down off Liverpool just after the First World War and you begin to wonder if the ghost of Her Maj doesn't like having ships named after her...
