Classic British Flight Sim

Came across this fascinating video on You Tube and anyone who either used to, or are presently living in Bristol will hopefully find this interesting, I certainly did as I used to go there regularly when in haulage.

Glad you liked it, there is always something about 'then and now' photographs and films that always fascinate me, seeing how towns and cities have changed over the decades, sometimes for the best and other times.........if you have ever been back to where you spent your childhood.....it never feels the same. :-(

Just spent a bit of time watching steam trains arriving and departing at Victoria Station in Nottingham, I spent many happy hours with a platform ticket just watching the comings and goings of these great steam engines and even at times speaking to some of the drivers and firemen. Sadly it is now a shopping arcade, sometimes I just wish things could be left as they were.

He he, you got that right. A few years back, I took my daughter on a little excursion around Hampstead to see my first school, where I lived and the hospital where I was born. Well the house and the school were still there, much as I remembered them. The hospital was another matter. It is now a block of luxury condos. In a nearby pub, I mentioned this to someone who informed me that the old hospital morgue was turned into a dinner theatre. I laughed, certain that the chap was pulling my leg.

When I got back to this side of the pond I was curious so I did a little online research and sure enought the bloke in the pub was right - they had turned the morgue into a dinner theatre. Bet they don't broadcast that little fact to their potential customers though. ;-) ... or maybe they do!
