Hi Garry,
That's a great photo, what year do you think, early 60's?.

BEAUTIFUL :kissu: Look how shiney she is!!
Almost makes me weep knowing how she looks now but I temper that with the knowledge that she's the ONLY one left and that HAS to be better than nothing ;-)
Lovely Garry.. I'm tempted to bid ;-)

I think she may be brand new there Dave.
She really is smart eh!
Lovely shot as it is not posed, just as I remember them.........quietly getting on with the job, no fuss, no drama just doing it

Indeed mate.. too small for me to tell, even with the specs on

Not a UK shot by the looks of things. The ESSO truck looks a bit too foreign to me (as does the weather)

Nice shiney Electra wing poking into shot far right by the looks of things.
Yup.. early on in her life I think Garry. Wish we had all her logs at Brooklands

Not quite as atmospheric as the one Garry linked to but here are a few more of 'EP' at work in the 60s. Some of the stuff in the background is fascinating too - I always love those Eagle Brits!
All photos are from the Michael Harries Collection and are copyright the Tangmere Military Aviation Museum Trust.
Finally, if the band in the original photo had been a successful one, maybe they travelled in EP's first class cabin. Note the huge windows by every seat and the lack of overhead lockers!
