I'm fairly sure if you get the Deluxe version the SDK has everything you need bar a copy of gmax for designing objects, and that's a free download.

If your doing airports, FSX Planner (and/or) ADE.
Other tools which are excellent.... Whisplacer, FSX KML, FWTOOLS.
All of the above are free. The best place to find help and advise (other than here ;-) ) is
http://www.fsdeveloper.com
The team are great, very helpful and very good at encouraging people to give things a go. Its my second favourite forum on the net.

I would definitely go for ADE ;-) if you're talking "afcads" ... the current version is very good, and the coming has some veeeeery good specialities to wait for!
"Scruffyduck" is the developer, and amongst the testing/developing team is also Reggie Fields, Ray Smith and Jim Vile just to name a few.

Hi
This works for me ....
For FSX + Accel I use a little prog called FS92FSX, using the 'NEWBGLANALYSE' to see if any file contains model info - disassemble then save as .xml.
Then using 'Library Maker' which comes with 'Instant Scenery' (cost me about £14), build a guid library using the + sign, save as what you like .bgl then add the file to your global scenery 'Scenery' file and the textures to Global scenery 'Textures' file.
Fire up Instant Scenery and that's it. I also use ADE for building Airports.
I have also found that Traffic Tools for FS2004 -('must have files' section of .com) seems to work ok on my FSX + Accel. I only use standard AI models otherwise I get a 'Pure virtual function call fault - visualfx.dll' after approx 15 mins.
Bye for now
