Classic AI

I've been a bit quiet for the last few days. I've been on a steep learning curve - with Dan's help :prayer: I wanted a few classics flying in and out of my 9Dragons Kai Tak to liven up all that modern stuff. So I've been learning how to set up some AI classics and flight plans. It's early days yet but I've got a few in the fleet. They are only doing runs to Taipei and KL at the moment until the fleet is up to strength, then I'll try out some other routes. These were some of today's visitors - it's just co-incidence that they were parked up together:

You listen to Dan mate and you'll have AI coming out of your ears.. and need a pc capable of running a small African nation to run it all  Very impressive if not completely out of context ;-)

Ya gotta start somewhere :cpu:

You warned me about AI, Dave! You said I'd spend more time spotting than flying. I thought you were joking! :-(

Context? That's a difficult one. I love Kai Tak but it's set in the 90s and there isn't enough 70s, 80s and 90s AI to keep it stocked. It's all 50s/60s or new :dunno: So I'm going to have to make up a context - a bit like McLeland Field, I suppose, where anything can happen

OK, then, here's a scenario - The CIA, under the disguise of Al Qaeda, have destroyed Chek Lap Kok, to prevent China from overtaking America as the World Superpower. So Kai Tak has hurriedly been re-opened while CLK is rebuilt. Hence the modern traffic and the CLK building site. Meanwhile, John Travolta has joined forces with a mysterious, eccentric, English aviator ( ) to create a Hong Kong based Retro airline, using Classic jets, serving former colonies in the China Sea.

What do you think? Don't answer that - I know what you think

Still, it works for me! It has to - I don't know how else to stock it....

This is once more.. a measure of what flightsim can achieve. The bottom line is.. if you are happy with your mix, then who gives a toss what anyone else thinks ;-) I often see Stratocruisers parked (and flying) where they shouldn't be but I like seeing that aircraft. It's the enjoyment YOU get out of it that's important ;-)

Now.. blow the dust off your bino's, keep that pencil sharp.. make sure your packamak is handy and enjoy the view

As a doctor.. I can advise that this phase of interest WILL wear off.. eventually. Unfortunately, there are no 'set' time limits ;-)

Ah...you're wrong there, Dave :-( The present Mrs Speedbird has announced this evening that she is knackered with a capital F and that she would really appreciate it if I could do the housework this weekend while she rests in bed until Sunday lunchtime when she will go to her parents' and let her Dad cook her a Sunday roast. If that's not a set time limit, then I'd like to know what is :worried:

How very dare she....... :o

You NEED to tell her that AI comes first and real life a distant second.......

Hope she becomes un-knackered soon mate.....
