Thanks for that , Dave.
I have watched 10 times and I still don't know why he did not lose his nose wheel. That sure would need a serious inspection - all over!!

Built like tanks! :flying:
I'm no expert, but even alowing for the wind looks like somebody overcooked it. If the wind had been that bad he should have gone arround. Interested to hear what any of the pilots might think?

From the wind noise and the yaw angle on approach I assume there was a bad crosswind but even so thats about the ropiest touchdown I've seen! Testament to the 146 airframe though and particularly the main gear which were of course designed for 3rd world operation (the HS146 being conceived in the same era as the 1-11-475) on poor quality landing strips that the airframe can take a fair amount of abuse that probably would have reverted lesser aircraft to kit form.

"......... please use caution when opening the overhead lockers as some articles may have been disturbed during flight ..........."

I guess the conditions were within the aircrafts x-wind limits and any LCY specific limitations laid down the Swiss Ops manual. There was the potenial to whack the tail in first arresting any last minute sink, or the same trasitioning to go-around pitch if they chucked that one away for another go. So the glass is half full for me - it's not pretty, but it is functional - 8/10

For landing one, a 1
For landing two, a 0 (that was the nosewheel one)
Landing three? A 3
Four? Back to a 2.
The final one? Back at 0!

I think i have seen a Tomcat land smoother than that.
sure is well built aircraft to stay in one piece.
not sure i would fly it until it was inspected as the wings went intooverflex.
glad he's not of flynet!
Regards
Rick
