not sure how many of us are boxing fanatics but when it comes to one of the biggest sporting battles this year and without doubt one of the best sporstman and rolemodels of his generation - Ricky Hatton - Has got to be up there with the best.



I wish him all the best and hope all the UK (especially Manchester!) get behind him for the biggest fight of his career. Mayweather is a superb and powerful contender who is also undefeated in his career. It sure is going to be one hell of a battle.

I hope you knock ten bells of **** out of him my son!!!

Gutted for Ricky, went at Mayweather from the off and really gave it a go. Didn't really connect with his punches and I think the air around Mayweathers head has some pretty bad bruises this morning. I have never seen Mayweather box before and that man is superb. He waited and waited and waited. Just letting Hatton come onto him, kept dodging, getting him close and then clinching. He was totally in control. When he started to go low, drop his guard and launch those fearsome right hooks, my word that man is excellent. Like Ricky said, he doesn't seem the biggest of punchers, but when he does he seems to make sure it counts.
The stats show it all. Nearly half of Mayweathers punches counted, he just seemed so good at landing them

Thx for posting the stats Pringle. That does indeed say it all. Its sad to see his unbeaten run now ruined but alas the best man won. :-(
