Hi all,
Just clocked this interesting little aircraft over at FS Nordic, namely the Valmet L-70 Vinka. Its a cracker and works in FS9 & FSX without any fuss. Thanks to the developers. Enjoy! ;-)

DId they pull it offline agian, then re-release??? I know there was an issue went it was first released a couple years ago. But the issue was squared away and re-released then. Now its a "New Release" agian for a 3rd time? I'm confused.

It looks like the one I had about 3 years ago at least, still it was a very special little aircraft then.

No I think this is the old second release - I think neither Vegas or I had seen it before , and that was the reason for the original post - The Finnish FS site
is not one I regularly visit - so when Vegas posted it I trotted along downloaded it and found it a very pleasent model to fly and very pleasing to the eye
its a shame there are only two repaints that I could find - I do particularly like the way the dayglo panels are weathered on the FAF model are done...
flying in all meteric takes a little getting used to, but in the words of an unknown Mosquito instructor from WW2 - "Its a little tight to get into, but once you
do, its luverly" ;-)

No problems, It is an awesome model. Thought maybe it was an update. This is a prime example how large the FS add-on market is. Some see something for the first time, and others have know about it forever(or so it seems sometimes) Places like this help shrink that market down a little.
Might only be the two repaints, because if I remember correctly the Finnish Air Force is the only operator of the aircraft, I to would like to see some others, real or fictional. I still take her out for a spin(literally -she can actually spin in FS) now and then.

Thats one of the first things I did - 30 minutes of airwork - then some aero's starting with Spins and ending with an (attempted) inverted spin - whoever did
the FDE needs a medal - it flies like a comemrcial sim - Im impressed - its now living at my little strip at Kaupo

I posted the link to FS Nordic some months ago as its a very good source of models that don't always get uploaded to the 'big two'. Plus its nice that they get recognised for their dedication.

Indeed. They also host
FiSD (Finnish Scenery Designers) Payware quality scenery at its best (It's FREE). I have done quite a bit of flying in Finland thanks to these guys. They cover all aspects of Scenery add-ons for Finland. Mesh, Building(default autogen replacements) Landclass, Trees, Ice, Forestration, Numerous Photoreal city screneries as well. I think somewhere in the neighborhood of 33 airports. WOW all this Finland talk, I think I'll fire up the FS and go for a flight over that way. Beautiful county.
