Not sure where I should place it, free or pay ... so I ended up here instead.

http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/index.html

REP (Real Environment Professional) is free and available for FS9

REX will be for FSX as I understand it.

Did anyone say "As real as it gets"?

It's certainly one I plan on getting. Looks fabulous!

And it's going to be payware...

Although I must say I get almost that good with Asv6.5 on FS9 ;-)

But the price is right

Downloaded it, tried it, extremely good and very impressed with it!!

All done by Tim Fuchs with help from other designers. What I like is when flying night-time the aircrafts' landing and taxis lights are halogen quality, makes a lot of difference to take-offs and landings not to mention taxying....You now get to see more of the runway and taxi-way

So, after VOS and this......who needs FSX?

Easy answer.. those that have bought/made pc's specifically to run it. Well, you gotta justify the outlay somehow ;-)

I'm pretty sure you need FSX to use REX.

There is a free Real Environment for FS9, but it's certainly not of the same calibre as the one being developed for FSX.
